To help protect against spam and other types of abuse, we’ve introduced a new badge that lets you know if an account is verified by us. This badge will be shown next to the username on all public profiles (including those in groups) and will look like this:

What is the verification Badge?

The verification badge is a way for us to show you are an authentic Telegram user(Telegram用户名). The badge displays your profile picture and the name on your account. It also identifies when someone has verified their account with us, which means that we have verified their identity and cleared them for use on our platform.

Can I get a verification badge?

Yes, you can get a verification badge.

You must follow the instructions on the verification badge page by providing your email address, phone number, social media accounts, and website that you want to link with your account. Your information will be reviewed by our Community Moderators before it is approved.

How do I get a verification badge?

To get a verification badge, you must be a public figure and have an email address, phone number, and social media accounts that are all verified.

To do this:

Go to Settings > Security tab > [Verification] section

Tap the [Verify Account] button at the bottom of the screen for your account.

How do I verify my account?

To verify your account, you must first visit the telegram website. Once there, you can either click “Verify my account” in the top right corner of their homepage or go to Telegram’s official website(Telegram官网)/verify-your-account/.

Follow any prompts that appear on the screen and answer any questions that are asked of you. You’ll then be prompted to download the app if you don’t already have it installed on your device (this is not necessary for desktop users). After logging in through the app, follow any additional instructions provided by Telegram staff members via email or phone call.

Why does my verification badge have a question mark?

If you are seeing a question mark on your verification badge, it means that your account has not yet been verified. You can verify your account by following the instructions on the badge or by following the instructions below:

Visit https://secure.telegram.org/verified/.

Follow the steps to verify your phone number and enter other information such as name, email address, and city of residence (if available).

Click “Verify” once everything is filled in correctly!

What is the difference between the blue and gray badges?

All gray badges are for unverified accounts. This means that the account has not yet met Twitter’s criteria for verification and does not have the badge.

A blue badge is an indicator of a verified account, so you won’t see those on gray badges either!

If an account has a pending verification request, its gray badge will turn blue when they’ve been approved or denied by Twitter staff. If you’re curious about whether or not your account will be verified, check out this article: How to Request Verification on Twitter

What is the difference between accounts with the same name that has different badges?

There are four Badge types: Verified, Confirmed, Pending and New. The badge is a visual indicator of the account’s status and can be found on your profile.
