Chocolate Cake Rusk

I really love cake. My mommy and daddy told me that Rusks are just like cookies but they’re smaller and they taste better. So I wanted to make something like them!

These Chocolate Cake Rusks would be perfect for breakfast because they have lots of chocolate in them. They’re also really soft and fluffy too, just like real cakes!

This recipe only makes a few so you can easily make more if you want more than a few.



  • 250 grams of butter
  • 200 grams of sugar
  • Two packets of vanilla sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 13 crackers
  • 100 grams of chocolate (chocolate bar)
  • 200 grams of ground almonds
  • Baking powder ½ bag
  • 4 tablespoons of rum

Step 1 

Beat the butter, add the sugar and vanilla, and beat until the sugar dissolves and gradually add the eggs.


Step 2

Grind the biscuits finely. Finely chop the chocolate. Mix the breadcrumbs, chocolate, almonds, and baking powder, and quickly stir into the butter mixture. Add rum and stir.


Step 3

Pour the mixture into a round cake pan (23 cm) and bake at 200 degrees Celsius for about 60 minutes.

Step 4

Remove the cake from the oven, let it cool for 15 minutes, then remove from the pan and sprinkle with powdered sugar to taste.
