New improvements to Telegram – double limit, 4 GB upload, etc

The message limit for messages has been doubled, which means you can now send up to 100,000 messages at once!

Telegram has been my favorite app(Telegram汉化) for messaging for several years now. The developers have always been very active in improving the platform and adding new features that make it even more useful. A lot of these improvements were announced at last year’s IFTTT conference, but they’re finally being rolled out now! Today we’ll take a quick look at what’s new with Telegram and how you can use them to enhance your experience with this great service.

Double the limit for Messages, Channels, and Groups

The message limit for messages has been doubled, which means you can now send up to 100,000 messages at once!

The channel and group limits have also been doubled to 100,000 (the limit was previously 1,000). This will help you make the most of our new features while sending your content to even more people.

4 GB of Files can now be uploaded

This feature is one of the most significant updates to the Telegram app since its launch. The maximum size of files that can be uploaded has been increased from 1 GB to 4 GB, which means you will be able to send more data (a lot more) through messages in a single chat. This comes in handy when you need to share documents and other large files with someone.

It’s enough space for two full-length feature films or about 2,000 photos; or an album with 200 songs on it!

The subscription period is extended to 1 year

This is the new improved Telegram. Now, you can use all its features for a whole year! The subscription period will be extended from 6 to 12 months.

You can become a channel admin without being a member

Telegram(tg中文版) admins can now add, remove and edit channel members without being themselves a member of that channel. This means you can add new people to your group without needing to be an admin first. You can also delete channel admins as well as edit messages in channels after they’ve been posted.

Admins can edit messages in channels even after they are posted

Admins can edit messages in channels and groups.

To edit a message:

Tap the message you want to edit.

Select the pen icon next to the message.

You’ll have an opportunity to change or add more information before posting your edited version of the message on behalf of yourself or others who sent it originally.

You can pin messages in groups and channels

If you’re an admin of a group or channel, you can now pin messages. This will highlight them (they’ll be marked with a pin icon) and move them to the top of the chat.

These pinned messages are also highlighted in all lists:

Chat list — as soon as you open it, pinned messages appear at the top

Message list — when scrolling down your history, pinned messages appear first

Channel list — after selecting any channel from your favorites or search results and opening its info page, pinned messages appear at the top

Telegram becomes more powerful

Telegram is a messaging app that has gained popularity over the past few years. The service competes with WhatsApp, WeChat, and Facebook Messenger.

The latest update to Telegram includes several improvements, including:

A limit of 1 GB on files sent via Telegram cloud services

A limit of 100 MB for photos and videos shared via @Media channels (max 5 MB per media file)
