Recently, nasty videos of Dr. Amir Liaquat were leaked on social media. Earlier, some photos and audio clips of his third wife Dania Amir were also released. The couple was seen blaming each others.

A few months ago, Dr. Amir Liaquat’s third marriage came to light. A few days ago, his third wife Dania Amir filed a petition for divorce in the court in which Dania stated that Dr. Amir Liaquat used to torture her while intoxicated.

Apart from this, various allegations were made by his wife through videos, after which Dr. Amir Liaqat accused his wife of infidelity.

However, this did not stop there. Responding to Dania’s allegations, Dr. Amir Liaqat issued a statement saying that there was no truth in my allegation of drug addiction. After which his nasty videos came to light.

Following the virality of these videos on social media, there have been mixed reactions from social media users.
Commenting in various groups, many women said, “Husbands and wives are each other’s clothes. So it was not appropriate for the two of them to make videos of their private life in the room and then viralize the videos on social media to get revenge on each other.

However, some people have the opposite impression
Usher Azeem tweeted that “Dania needs support and security from the government.”

However, most people also question whether there is a legal way to prevent both of them from taking revenge.

Kami tweeted, “Can the law stop Dania Shah from releasing personal videos of Amir Liaquat Hussain?” Because the rest of the case should be decided in court but this act is reprehensible, immoral and immoral.

A user named Sheikh Sahib writes that “Revenge Puran is not right … You can’t do that. ”

The number of cases of Revenge Porn in Pakistan is very high. There have been several cases of videos and photos made many years ago being used as ‘revenge porn’ which has a devastating effect on the lives of the victims.
However, in the case of Dr Amir Liaqat, nasty videos of the past between the couple are being released. According to digital media experts, not only women but also men are victims of Revenge Porn. However, this practice is harmful for both men and women.

According to the Digital Rights Foundation, their helpline received more than 4,000 complaints last year, of which about 1,600 were related to unauthorized use of personal photos.

According to activists working on this aspect, it is very difficult to ascertain the true number of such cases, as in most cases women do not come forward to complain for fear of embarrassment and stigma.

According to Azmi Khan, the investigating officer of the cyber crime wing of the Federal Investigation Agency of Pakistan, the number of women coming to him with such complaints has multiplied in the last few years.

In Pakistan, it is the responsibility of the Cyber Crime Wing to look into complaints related to Revenge Porn.

According to Azmi Khan, in most cases in the country, these complaints come against ex-boyfriends, fiancs, angry office mates and in many cases against the husband. In most cases of ‘Revenge Porn’ in Pakistan, women are threatened by sending their personal photos or videos to their families or posting them on social media.

In 2016, in order to prevent cyber crime in Pakistan, a law was enacted to impose seven years imprisonment and heavy fines for crimes like ‘Revenge Porn’. Even so, most women still do not seek legal redress with the help of the cyber wing.
Azmi Khan, an officer in the FIA’s cyber wing, said: “These women feel that a lot of damage has already been done and that the matter should be stopped now. Not only this, with the help of fire you can do welding. She also wants to keep it a secret from her family.

Another reason given by Azmi Khan for women to back away from such issues is that they have neither the resources nor the capability to fight a long legal battle. Sometimes it even leads to their engagement or marriage breaking up. In many cases, women also have suicidal tendencies.
“I think young girls and women who use technology and the internet can be victims of such crimes,” said Nighat Dad, executive director of the Digital Rights Foundation. They are users but they are not aware of online security and safety practices. She doesn’t even know what data she’s sharing with anyone, and how far it could go. ”

According to Nighat, most of the women victims of Revenge Porn feel that it was their fault. They relied on someone to share the data, which led to the problem. According to Nighat, sometimes honor killings take place in the case of Revenge Porn.

He added that even five years after the law was enacted, only 27 people have been convicted of revenge porn, using personal photos without consent and tampering with pictures and blackmailing them.
