According to the preliminary autopsy report of Punjabi singer and rapper Sadhu Musa Wala, 25 bullet marks were found on his body.
Earlier, Mansa SSP Guru Tora had confirmed the death of Sadhu Musa Wala and said that bullet marks had been found on his body at four places. Sadhu Musa Wala was shot dead by unknown assailants on Sunday evening.
Civil Surgeon Dr Ranjit Singh told the Arvind Chhabra: “Three people, including Sadhu Musa Wala, were rushed to hospital after the shooting. Sadhu was pronounced dead at the scene. The rest of the injured have been shifted to Rajendra Hospital in Patiala. Sadhu has been shot in the chest and leg.
The English newspaper The Hindustan Times has written in a special report that the post-mortem report states that the right elbow of Sadhu Musa Wala has been broken due to the bullet.
An official told the newspaper that the Punjabi singer was hit most in the chest and abdomen while two bullets hit him in the right leg.
According to sources, 30 empty shells of three different weapons were recovered from the spot. The shells found at the scene of the attack are of Nine MM, Seven Point Six Two MM and Point Three Zero MM.
The body of Sadhu Musa Wala is currently kept in the mortuary of Mansa Civil Hospital. Mansa Deputy Commissioner Jaspreet Singh said that his last rites would be performed on Tuesday morning.
At the same time, the Bhagwant Mann government of Punjab has handed over the responsibility of judicial inquiry into the murder to a sitting judge of Punjab and Haryana High Court.
However, the Congress demanded that the CBI or the NIA investigate the incident. Sadhu Musa Wala had joined the Congress party in December last year and had tried his luck in the Assembly elections from Mansa in which he lost to the Aam Aadmi Party candidate.
Former BJP MLA Majinder Singh Sarsa wrote: “We are alerting the Punjab government about the situation in Punjab. I demand that an FIR be registered against Bhagwant Mann for non-fulfillment of his duty by the Chief Minister in which Sadhu Musa Wala has been killed. Along with Bhagwant Mann, Arvind Kejriwal should also be prosecuted under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code.
Earlier, while commenting on the situation in Punjab, he had said that only yesterday the Aam Aadmi Party government had taken away the security of social celebrities and today a well known singer and Congress party member was killed by unknown persons.
A Special Task Force of Uttarakhand Police and a team of Punjab Police have arrested a suspect from Shimla Bypass Road, Dehradun.
The name of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi is under discussion for his suspected role in this murder. Bishnoi, while filing a petition in Delhi’s Patiala House Court, said that he feared that Punjab police might encounter him. However, the court refused to hear his plea.
Sadhu Musa Wala’s popularity soared in 2018 when several of his songs about gun culture came out. Sadhu Musawala’s mother Charanjit Kaur Musa is the Sarpanch of the village. During the Sarpanch elections, Sadhu Musa Wala campaigned hard for his mother’s success.
Sadhu Musa Wala received his non-medical education from Sardar Chetan Singh Sarvhatkari Vidya Mandir Mansa till Class XII. He then graduated and later did a one-year diploma in Canada.
