Sony’s 1000XM3 are the best wireless headphones you can buy right now, and we’ll tell you why in this Sony WH-1000XM3 review. We hope to help you decide if they’re the right headphones for you, but whether you want to buy these headphones or not, let’s cover some of their features that make them so popular and great. First, the noise cancellation on these wireless headphones is outstanding.
2 Frequently Asked Questions
What is the battery life of these headphones? – The wireless capability of these headphones have a battery life of up to 30 hours. How do I connect my smartphone to the headphones? – Connecting your device is quick and easy with Sony’s Smart Listening.
Simply use the companion app on your phone and search for your headphones’ name, click connect, and you are set! There is also a three button touch control panel that can be used to adjust volume, skip tracks or pause playback with just one tap.
To activate this feature, hold down on the center button for three seconds. If you happen to lose your ear tips or headphone cover–no worries; they come in two different sizes so it will be sure to fit any size ear comfortably while also providing high quality sound isolation from external noise without being uncomfortable or bulky.
They also come with a USB-C charging cable and hard carrying case to keep them safe while traveling. And if all of this wasn’t enough, they’re even Bluetooth compatible with other devices like laptops, tablets, televisions and gaming consoles. Bottom line: These headphones give you everything you need for listening on the go with high quality sound at an affordable price point ($349).
The headphone design is very minimalistic and sleek. The headband has a soft flexible material wrapped around it, with just the logo on the side. The ear cups have a tiny sliver of metal in them, but are otherwise very lightweight due to their soft leather material that covers your ears. It’s hard to describe how well these headphones wrap over your ears, they really conform to them to eliminate any sound leakage or gaps which create unwanted noise.
During my use I never felt like they were too tight or heavy on my head and was able to wear them for hours without feeling any discomfort or irritation which made me happy since some other headphones would leave red marks or give me headaches if I wore them for too long. My favorite part about the design is that there’s a slider you can use to adjust the level of noise cancellation.
When you slide it up, more sound from your surroundings will be let in so you can hear what people are saying for example (like if someone walks up to talk to you), or just so you can hear something like an airplane announcement without taking off your headphones entirely.
Sliding it down turns up the volume and increases the amount of white noise playing in order to block out any background noises, making this perfect for using while commuting on public transportation or traveling where there may be a lot of commotion going on all around you.
4 Key Features
Sony’s WH-1000XM3 headphones are well worth the hefty price tag. They offer four key features that make them worth the money, including noise cancellation, high-quality sound, bluetooth connectivity, and the ability to play music without ever having to take your phone out of your pocket.
Overall this is a set of premium wireless headphones designed for those who refuse to compromise on quality or features. With 50mm speakers that use innovative Drivers with a Dynamic Vibration System and Acoustic Clarity Technology; Bluetooth® wireless technology up to 30ft range; Fast Charging (5 hours in 10 minutes) via USB Type C port; and foldable design that makes these headphones perfect for travel we consider them one of the best options available today. The biggest benefit of purchasing the WH-1000XM3 is its noise cancellation feature, which will be particularly useful if you plan on using these headphones while travelling or commuting. In fact, when used at low volumes, you’ll hardly notice any background noise at all thanks to Sony’s HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN1e Chip which does an amazing job in actively analysing external sounds and generating anti-noise signals to effectively cancel out ambient noises around you.
5 What I Like and Dislike About These Headphones
These headphones make it super easy to answer the call without pulling your phone out of your pocket. Even better, they wirelessly sync with my laptop when I’m editing a video for work. The battery life is outstanding – I use them for hours on end and it’s so rare that I have to charge them. Unfortunately, the touch controls are a little too sensitive and when someone calls me from across the room, the sound of their voice becomes an echo in my ear.
My only other complaint is how much these headphones cost. For most people that won’t be an issue but I would say it’s not worth splurging this much for less expensive alternatives. The quality and functionality are unbeatable though which makes these one of the best wireless headphones you can buy! If you’re willing to spend more money on something that’ll last then you should definitely go with these! They really are amazing!
I’ve been using these headphones for a few months now and I absolutely love them. They fit around my ears comfortably without being too tight or constricting, so they don’t give me any ear pain after long periods of time like some cheaper brands do.
They also come with interchangeable pieces that let you customize the fit for different sized heads as well as provide passive noise cancelling (a small mic over each ear). It doesn’t hurt that these look sleek as hell either. The only negative thing about them is the price – I know there are plenty of good quality headphones out there at lower prices but if you’re looking for something to last then you should definitely invest in these…they’re worth every penny!
6 Is it Worth Buying?
To conclude, the Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones are worth buying. They’re not only wireless, they have a luxurious sound to them. The noise cancellation is phenomenal and worth every penny you spend on them. If you’re looking for the best of the best when it comes to wireless headphones, then this is your product! It’s well worth the investment because there’s no other headphone out there that sounds as good as these do.
In order to justify the high price tag, we recommend checking out the Bose QuietComfort 35 II which does come in at about $50 cheaper. However, if you want an amazing sounding wireless set of headphones that also cancels noise exceptionally well, then Sony has got what you need with their WH-1000XM3 model.
7 Final Thoughts & Video Review (coming soon)
There’s a lot to love about the Sony WH1000XM3s. They’re the best pair of headphones we’ve used for lengthy trips away from our homes and on business trips, which often require flights or long train rides. But they’re also great for short walks around town. It’s just that one key ingredient that makes them stand out from others on the market: they sound damn good while also blocking out unwanted noise with their customizable Noise Cancelling system.
The battery life is superb too. And you can use them wirelessly via Bluetooth or NFC (provided your phone supports it) or wired if you want to avoid using up the battery life. We do have some gripes though – there are no included carrying cases, so you’ll need to spend more money if you want protection in your luggage; the physical buttons don’t feel very premium; and there’s no aptX support for those who prefer streaming music over Bluetooth (though this could be solved by updating your phone). However, these minor complaints aside, the WH-1000XM3s are worth every penny.
