UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has called for an end to the four-day humanitarian war on the occasion of Orthodox Easter this week.
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has called for an end to the fighting, which begins on April 21, as it is a holy Thursday in the Orthodox Christian calendar, and Easter is celebrated until April 24.
He said that both Ukrainians and Russians celebrate Easter during this period.

General Antonio Guterres added that during the break in the war, relief supplies could be provided to people living in the worst-affected areas of Ukraine, including Mariupol, Kherson, Donetsk and Luhansk.
